The Final Post (of the Year) – You Should Read This!

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year to each and every one of you. It has been a great year for some of you and a tough year for others. No matter what, I am here to make sure that next year is your best year yet.

I have tons of great tips, ideas and helpful ways for you to live your BEST life ever coming up just after the New Year! And some really good recipes as well to make sure you are only putting healthy food into your body.

EXCITING NEWS! I am going to be starting work on a brand new book which will answer some of the most common (and uncommon) questions about your health, working out, eating the right foods, happiness, etc. So if you have ANY questions, please send them over to me and not only will I answer you personally, but the question just may show up in my book (and you will be famous)!

Also, if you have not yet read my first book, here are the links! It would be a great read for the new year!

Read full book “Impress The World With Your Body in Seven Days” for free by clicking here!

Buy hard cover copy of “Impress The World With Your Body in Seven Days” by clicking here!

Lastly, I would like to thank my friend Terry Chaney for giving me the push to start my “Healthy at 102″ Facebook page. I started the page less than a year ago and already have over 900 people that have “liked” it!  We give a “Quick Tip” every day, 365 days a year, so please be sure to check it out!

So again, Happy New Year and as I used to say to my classmates before winter break when I was a little kid… “see you NEXT YEAR!”

Rock on!

  1. You are most welcome Dave, the information you offer is amazing and valuable to many .

  2. Dave, I workout 5-6 days a week, with a combo of crossfit, running, swimming, bike and weights..and I have been trying to follow a Paleo diet..but my blood sugar has steadily risen and as of now, I am considered diabetic..my doc wants me to loose a few more pounds and just treat my condition by really monitoring my diet…..now my 13 year old daughter has several stomach issues..not being able to tolerate “junk food” which she does not eat often..however..when she does, especially at an overnight, we can expect a call…..by the way, she is very involved in athletics..My question is..Is there a diet or lifestyle change which we can do together that maybe easy enough for her to work with during school and her sports?

    • Brian – great questions! I have a few questions for you before I can really answer them. It sounds as if you are doing great on your workouts and your eating. But your blood sugar is rising and I wonder why. You mentioned your doc is concerned about your weight. Would you mind telling me your height and weight? And has it been the same, going up or down? And even though you are following a Paleo diet, I am wondering if you stray at all and eat foods that are not aligned with your health. Same with your daughter. Is she considered to be overweight? Have you seen my blog entry on The Dave Diet? This is the one thing that I have done in my life that has made an INCREDIBLE impact. If you have not read that one, I urge you to read it. I am down on gluten. I think it is causing all types of clinical and subclinical issues in many people. Keep that in mind. I also have a friend Terry Chaney (www.facebook.com/CoachTerry) who has made some incredible changes to her eating program over the past couple of years. She was morbidly obese and diabetic and has since lost 330 pounds and is no longer diabetic. She may be able to be of some help here as well. Please get back to me with the answers if you could. Thanks!

      • Yes Dave, i will stray..but not overweight..I am 5’7″ 170..my daughter is definitely not weight..very athletic…she will tray and both of us will binge but have gotten better..we just came back from health food store and with gluten free everything..including snacks…greek yogurt fruit..tonight’s dinner is homemade tomato sauce..no sugar..turkey meatballs and gluten free pasta.

  3. Thanks David,
One of the big factors in my eliminating my diabetes was to learn what happens when combinations of foods are ingested at the same time… The two big no no to eat together are Carbohydrates and Proteins. When ingested at the same time, the enzymes needed to break each down cancel each other out and end up laying in you stomach and thus further raising your blood sugar levels.
I am always happy to answer any of your readers questions, they can reach me at wwww.facebook.com/CoachTerry or at http://www.terrychaney.com.
Good luck and Happy New Year.

    Terry
