Thanks David,
One of the big factors in my eliminating my diabetes was to learn what happens when combinations of foods are ingested at the same time… The two big no no to eat together are Carbohydrates and Proteins. When ingested at the same time, the enzymes needed to break each down cancel each other out and end up laying in you stomach and thus further raising your blood sugar levels.
I am always happy to answer any of your readers questions, they can reach me at wwww.facebook.com/CoachTerry or at www.terrychaney.com.
Good luck and Happy New Year.

Brian - great questions! I have a few questions for you before I can really answer them. It sounds as if you are doing great on your workouts and your eating. But your blood sugar is rising and I wonder why. You mentioned your doc is concerned about your weight. Would you mind telling me your height and weight? And has it been the same, going up or down? And even though you are following a Paleo diet, I am wondering if you stray at all and eat foods that are not aligned with your health. Same with your daughter. Is she considered to be overweight? Have you seen my blog entry on The Dave Diet? This is the one thing that I have done in my life that has made an INCREDIBLE impact. If you have not read that one, I urge you to read it. I am down on gluten. I think it is causing all types of clinical and subclinical issues in many people. Keep that in mind. I also have a friend Terry Chaney (www.facebook.com/CoachTerry) who has made some incredible changes to her eating program over the past couple of years. She was morbidly obese and diabetic and has since lost 330 pounds and is no longer diabetic. She may be able to be of some help here as well. Please get back to me with the answers if you could. Thanks!

Dave, I workout 5-6 days a week, with a combo of crossfit, running, swimming, bike and weights..and I have been trying to follow a Paleo diet..but my blood sugar has steadily risen and as of now, I am considered diabetic..my doc wants me to loose a few more pounds and just treat my condition by really monitoring my diet.....now my 13 year old daughter has several stomach issues..not being able to tolerate "junk food" which she does not eat often..however..when she does, especially at an overnight, we can expect a call.....by the way, she is very involved in athletics..My question is..Is there a diet or lifestyle change which we can do together that maybe easy enough for her to work with during school and her sports?

Nice recipe. Will definitely try it at some point. Have been using ground turkey on and off for years. Better flavor and texture than ground chicken.
